Choosing, powering and placing fountains and self-contained feature kits — including solar options that need no plumbing.
Water-Wise Landscaping
Rainwater harvesting, efficient drip irrigation and drought-tolerant gardens that thrive on far less water.
A quick word on safety
Water and electricity don’t mix, and getting the connections right matters. As a rule of thumb: the electrical connection of any pump or pond unit should be done by a licensed electrician on an RCD-protected circuit; connecting to mains or potable water (including switching a rainwater tank into the household supply) is licensed plumbing work; and anything involving a bore, groundwater or water restrictions should be checked with your local council or state water authority. We flag these points throughout the guides so you always know when to call a professional.
